Computer Programming
Computer Applications Development
Business and web applications
Java, Microsoft, and open-source software projects
Conestoga's programming paths emphasize problem-solving and building business or web applications with current Microsoft, Java, and open-source tools. Sessions focus on getting the assignment working while making the design understandable.
Planning from a rubric, fixing broken code, structuring projects, databases, and web apps, done so you understand it and can defend it.
Tracing code, data structures, OOP, SQL, and language syntax turned into targeted practice for your next quiz, midterm, or final.
Coding in the AI era
Conestoga programming runs on labs, assignments, and term projects, and that is exactly the work AI finishes fastest. Submissions go in on time, the marks look fine, and nothing feels wrong until something closed book shows up: a test, a code walkthrough, or a professor asking why you wrote a line the way you did.
None of this makes you a bad student. It makes you a student learning to code in the AI era.
That the code runs and the rubric is satisfied. It does not prove you could rebuild it from an empty file, and the semester moves too fast to stop and check.
Whether you can write, trace, and debug Java, C#, Python on your own. Same course, different skill, and usually the first place the gap shows up.
Nobody here is going to tell you to quit using AI. That is bad advice and you would ignore it anyway. The goal is AI independence, not AI avoidance: keep the speed, and also be able to think, code, debug, and explain your Conestoga work when the tools are closed. In a session that means you write it, you explain it back, and you get the first attempt at your own bugs. You still write and submit your own work, always.
More on how this works: using AI without depending on it.
The more of this you send, the faster we get to a fix:
Yes. I help Conestoga College students online with Computer Programming and related courses: assignments, labs, debugging, and exam prep. Sessions are 1:1 and built around your exact coursework.
Common Conestoga support areas include Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL, plus databases, web development, and object-oriented design. Not sure if your topic fits? Send the assignment and I'll tell you honestly.
Yes. Send the assignment or rubric, your current code, the error or failing test, and the deadline. We'll get it working and make sure you understand it, not just hand you a solution.
Yes, and I am not going to tell you to stop using it. College programming is lab and project heavy, which is exactly the work AI finishes fastest, so the gap usually stays hidden until a closed book test or a professor asking you to walk through your own code. We keep the speed and rebuild what is underneath: you write it, explain it, and debug it yourself, then use AI for hints, feedback, and practice instead of finished answers. The AI-era coding help is a good first step if you want to see where you actually stand.
All sessions are online, so I can help Conestoga College students anywhere in Ontario. The assignment triage is free so you can see if the help is a good fit before committing.

Be honest about the AI part. None of this makes you a bad student, it makes you a student in 2026, and it changes what I recommend.
