This is why a student with decent assignment marks can still walk out of a midterm knowing it went badly. The problem is usually not effort or intelligence. It is that nobody ever told them which topics were actually theirs.
Run these on every major topic in your exam outline, while there is still time to fix what they turn up. Five checks, no tutor required.
Close every tab and rewrite the assignment that covered the topic, starting from the problem statement instead of your old code. If you cannot start, or you stall halfway, that topic is not yours yet.
Talk through the code line by line with nobody in the room. The moment you hear yourself say 'this part just makes it work', you have found a gap. That is the same question a professor asks in an oral check.
Read a short program and write down what it prints before executing it. Students who have been leaning on AI can usually recognize correct code without being able to trace it, and exams test tracing.
Put a bug into working code, walk away, then come back and find it with AI closed. Debugging is the first skill to quietly disappear when a tool has been doing it for you.
One question, on a clock, blank editor, no autocomplete, no notes. It is the closest thing to real conditions, and failing it now is much cheaper than failing it in the exam hall.
A topic you can only finish with hints belongs at the top of your study plan. A topic you can rebuild, explain, and debug on your own is one you can stop worrying about. The list of real gaps is usually shorter than students expect, which is exactly why finding it early is worth an afternoon.
