Computer science tutoring in the GTA

Computer science tutoring for GTA university students

A focused first session for students who need help with programming, assignments, debugging, AI dependence, or a course that suddenly got serious.

If you are not sure whether the problem is the language, the assignment, the professor, or AI doing too much, this page is the control group. We diagnose first, then choose the right path.

Online sessions for Toronto and GTA students. New students can start with a free first hour.

Sound familiar?

You know you need help, but you are not sure which topic is actually causing the damage.

The course moved from simple syntax into projects, exams, and theory faster than expected.

You are using AI more than you want to and need to rebuild real understanding.

How the first session actually runs

You bring the thing that is going wrong: the assignment, the error, the failed quiz, the topic that will not stick. We find the one gap doing the most damage and fix that first. You leave with the problem moved forward and a clear next step, not a sales pitch.

What we fix first

The first session is not random tutoring. It is a diagnosis and a focused repair.

Course triage

Assignment planning

Debugging habits

AI independence check

What better looks like

  • Find the real bottleneck instead of randomly studying everything.
  • Leave with a plan for assignments, quizzes, midterms, or fundamentals.
  • Know which subject to focus on next: C/C++, Java, DSA, Python, web, or exam rescue.

Questions

What if I do not know what topic I need help with?

That is normal. Bring the syllabus, assignment, recent quiz, or error messages. The first job is to identify the bottleneck before you waste time studying the wrong thing.

Is this only for GTA students?

No. Sessions are online, so students outside the GTA can book too. The page is written for GTA students because that is where most of the students I work with are.

Where students book from

Sessions are online, so it does not matter where in the GTA you are. Students book from across these cities and from outside them.
